To the charismatic military leader of the 7th Cavalry who inspired no grey area in the affection or distain of his men. Your brutal attack in 1868 on Black Kettle's sleeping camp seemed to have sealed your fate at the Little Bighorn... You'll always be remembered as a great American, but not by the Native Americans, who were not running from you that day.

I had forgotten General Custard was in the Civil War, if I was ever taught that he was. I think he was a good man and an arrogant one but that was probably what it took to win all the battles he did. I think it is a shame that he is always remembered for Little Big Horn and not all else he did. Even though I lean toward the Confederacy I have a lot of respect for him.

I myself am half Cherokee and have been told many stories of how my people were betrayed, but I know that the Indians had their part in betrayal also, I forgive those on both sides of this awful senseless struggle for life in the Indian Wars, so Rest In Peace George Custer, I am sure the Heavenly Father has shown all of you a peaceful way to live.
