Mabel Doris Fine, 100, Chanute, Kansas, died Monday, February 11, 2008, at Heritage Health Care, Chanute, Kansas.
She was born Dec. 5, 1907, in Gentry County, Missouri, to Forest and Mary (Pittsenbarger) Albright.
She received a bachelor of science degree in business education from a college in Maryville, MO.
She taught school for 14 years and was a high school publisher for several years.
She married Lloyd Fine on April 26, 1930 in Troy, Missouri. He died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Robert Lloyd Fine, Excelsior Springs, MO; a daughter, Elinor F. Whaley, Chanute, KS; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mildred Sweat.
Funeral will be at the Wray United Methodist Church in Hopkins, Missouri. Burial will follow in Hopkins Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Chanute, KS.
