George Henry Chandler
Was born 11 Jan 1853 in Rimersburge, Penn, and died 27 May 1945 in Manhattan,KS. He married Cynthia Panina Hepler 27 Jul 1876 in Hawthorne, Penn, daughter of Jeremiah Hepler and Sarah). She was born 15 Feb 1854 in Rimersburge, Penn, and died 18 Aug 1945 in Manhattan, KS.
Mr. and Mrs. Chandler were married for 63 years. George married a Cynthia Hepler both were from Rimersburg, Penn and later headed west to Kansas. They settled on a farm on what was called the Blue Valley River in Riley Co. Kansas were they prospered, they were the proud parents of a Mrs. John Hays, Mrs. Frank Allen, and Roy Chandler all in the vicinity and a Mrs. Marion Wadly of Washington, D.C. They derived much pleasure from their work and associations in the Manhattan Grange, in which Chandler held varies offices. George owned a 1913 Model Ford and use to take his grand children out on excursions after church service. George Henry Chadwick Chandler was were I began my research, I'm the 2nd great grandson of George Henry Chadwick Chandler,(FW). George later dropped the Chadwick in his name Burial: 01 Jun 1945, Manhattan,KS Sunset Cemetery

"Soon after we got your letter, Earl's father "Roy" had serious illness. Heart blockage-and at 93 the Dr. wanted to give him a pace maker. Earl had to give consent wondering even so it it was the thing to do. Yet he had no chance otherwise- so you can hardly say "just let the old man die." So he was taken to Topeka by ambulance. We met them there. Soon after arriving in Topeka he went to cardiac-arrest and in the emergency room they put in one temporary. Couple days later gave him a permanent one. But he's had brain damage. Pulse 28/30 for good while, and it's all been up hill and very uncertain. After the hospital he was very confused. "Roy was 5 feet 10 1/2 inches tall, blue eyes, light reddish brown hair. Verona had brown hair then white and had grey eyes. They lived on a farm about 4 miles from his parents
