Son of Reason Dobbins. Husband of 1) Elizabeth Ann Wilson; married January 19, 1870 and 2) Hannah Etta Kilpatrick; married February 28, 1889. Served as teamster for 12th La. Infantry, Co. H "Jackson Sharpshooters," CSA. He was a farmer and Justice of the Peace in Claiborne Parish.
Brother Sylvester Dobbins and half-sister Betty Dobbins Kilpatrick are also buried in Tulip Cemetery. Giles is great-grandfather of sponsor.
