Sinton -- Jim Friedrich Wilhelm Aigner, 81, died Friday, January 6, 1995 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a long illness. He was a farmer and ranch hand for the original Welder Ranch for over the past 40 years until his retirement in 1988. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years until his discharge on December 16, 1945. His hobbies included gardening, hunting, fishing, and dancing.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Opal Grace Huey Aigner of Sinton, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law of Portland, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law of Port Lavaca, Texas; two sisters, Laura Hooge of Poteet, Texas, and Hulda Sanford of Richmond, Texas; two brothers, Adolph Aigner of Poteet, and Garrett H. Aigner of Sommerville, Texas; four granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, January 9, 1995 at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Floyd Connor officiating. Interment will follow in Sinton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews and great-nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Schultz, James T. Baker, and Billy Sanders. Corpus Christi Caller-Times, January 8, 1995
