Mrs. Frances M Anderson, age 90, passed away Sunday evening April 21, 1991 at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility after an extended illness. The former Frances M Hess was born March 11, 1901 in Clarksville, MI and had lived in the Muskegon area for the past 67 years, coming from Lansing. On January 8, 1922 she married Arthur Anderson. His death occurred January 7, 1982. Mrs Anderson was a long-time member of Olivet Reformed Church.
Her survivors include 3 daughters: Mrs Dorothy 'Dottie' Plummer of Norton Shores, Mrs. Harold S (Phyllis) Balkema of Spring Lake, and Mrs Vernon (Shirley) Runk of Muskegon; a son, Robert E "Bob" (Doris) Anderson of Fruitport; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Thelma Garland of Lansing, and Mrs Esther Birman of Oregon, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Wednesday 1:00 pm at the Achterhoff Chapel with her pastor, Rev Gerald Mahler, officiating. Interment in MOna View Cemetery. Calling hours: 7-9 pm this evening and 2-4 and 7-9 pm tomorrow (Tuesday) at the funeral home.
