Recipient of a Bronze Star.
Liz was a 2001 graduate of Padua Academy in Wilmington, Delaware where she played volleyball and was honored as one of her class' most valuable athletes. She briefly attended the University of Arizona before enlisting in the Air Force in March 2003. Liz chose to join the military because she wanted to contribute to the country. She graduated from Eglin AFB/Naval Tech Explosive Ordnance Disposal School in February 2004 and deployed to Iraq on September 27, 2006. Driven by a competitive spirit, she was a 5-foot-5 dynamo who would do 51 "real" push-ups to her father's 50, played volleyball, basketball and softball. She enjoyed rock music and swimming. Liz last spoke to her family on Christmas and was due home in 20 days. For Christmas, her dad got her a pen that delivers an electric shock to users. She used it on her commander and was probably the only person who could get away with it because of her sweet smile and disposition.
In addition to her parents, Loncki is survived by a 10-year-old sister. Funeral arrangements are pending.
