Mitchell G. Bacon 76 of Glasgow died Friday, June 5, 2009 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Born in Monroe Co. he was the son of the late Ollie G. Bacon and Etha Mae Copas Bacon and husband of the late Charlotte Jo Wilhelm Bacon. Mr. Bacon was a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church, retired from SKF in Glasgow and veteran of the U. S. Army.

Survivors include 2 sons Brad Bacon (Jennifer) of Cave City and Terry Bacon (Sarah) of Temple Hill; 2 daughters Connie Reed of Lebanon, TN and Linda Huff of Louisiana; 3 step-daughters Jo Bryant (Joe) of Breeding, KY, Connie Harris of Glasgow and Jacquie Radus (Chris) of Glasgow; a brother Marshall Bacon of Tompkinsville, KY; 2 sisters Mary Wheeler of Oklahoma and Betty Birge of Tompkinsville; 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister Edie McKinnis.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, June 8, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the White Cemetery.
