RICHFIELD, UT - Newell O. Anderson, 82, of Richfield, UT, died June 15, 2001 in American Fork, UT.
He was born Dec 14, 1918 in Central, Sevier County, UT to Carlos Ozroe and Vilate Hawley Anderson. He married Lena Pe-terson Oct 5, 1944 in Glen-wood, UT. She preceded him in death Aug 23, 1993.
Newell was a life-long resident of Sevier County where he made his living farming. He served his country during World War II in the Navy and was a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolee (Blake) Larsen, Hayden Lake, ID; two grandchildren, Ryan (Sandy) Larsen, Highland, UT, Brandt Larsen, Milan, Italy; three great-grandchildren, Kedrick, McKay and Kyra Larsen; and sisters, Colene (Hal) Parker, St. George, Gwen (Richard) Stucki, Cedar City, UT. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lena; daughter, Joan; parents; and sisters, Konnie Coons, Maxine Thomas.
Services will be Tues. June 19, 2001, 1 p.m. in the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 50 S. 100 W, Richfield. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary Tues. 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. prior to services. Burial, Richfield City Cemetery with Military Rites by the V.F.W. Sevier Post #5050.
