Lincoln Sentinel-Republican, Jan. 13, 1955
Ella Bridenstine
Mrs. Ella Bridenstine, a former resident of the Barnard community, passed away at her home in Monterey Park, Calif., on Friday, Jan. 7. She would have been 96 years old if she had lived two weeks longer.
Mrs. Bridenstine and the late Mr. Bridenstine moved to California from Barnard many years ago. After Mr. Bridenstine's death Mrs. Bridenstine continued to live in California, making her home in Santa Ana. She was wonderfully active, both physically and mentally, for a person of her advanced years, and she retained that alertness until the last few months of her life.
Her daughter, Mrs. Jessie Parsons, had lived with her some years. About a year ago they moved from Santa Ana to Monterey Park in order to be close to other members of the family. Mrs. Bridenstine still was in fair health and remained so until early in December when she suffered a fall in her home from which she did not recover.
Mrs. Bridenstine is survived by five children: Mrs. Jessie Parsons of the home; Mrs. R.E. Lewis, Lincoln; Charlie Bridenstine, Zillah, Wash.; E.D. Bridenstine, Corona, Calif.; and Mrs. W.W. Hunt, Glendale, Calif.
