Uncle Snooks was born in Bennington, OK. He had four brothers James Roy Berry 1-17-1921/ 4-03-1988, Harold J. Berry; 11-19-1927/ 6-15-2001; George L. Berry; 7-04-1929/11-17-2002, and Billy Ray Berry 7-22-1931/ 8-09-2006, and one sister, Jackie Ruth Ruthkowski born October 5, 1933, He served aboard the USS McCOOK as WT3rd class (Boiler repairman) during the D-Day invasion in WWII.

He was married to Mary Helen Berry ,they have 3 children, numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; nieces,nephews other family members.
