A Pioneer's Death.
Timothy SHEEHAN, for many years a resident of Bower Cave, this county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. B. BAKER, at Merced last Sunday evening, Mr. SHEEHAN came to this part of the State in early days and followed mining and farming. For some time past his health had been very poor and his death was not unlooked for. He was a man who had many friends and was most highly esteemed where best known. He was a native of Ireland , aged 79 years. The relatives of the deceased are a daughter, Mrs. J. B. BAKER of Merced, and a son Wm. SHEEHAN. The funeral took place at Groveland, Tuolumne county, Tuesday.
