"Funeral services for Irene Keller Allen, age 82, of Brashear, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2007, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Burns will officiate.
Interment will follow services in the Brashear Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the funeral Home.
Mrs. Allen passed away on Friday, November 16, 2007, at Linden Health Care, in Linden. She was born on November 22, 1924, in Brashear, the daughter of J.B. and Melissa Hedrick Green. She married Gerald Allen, on May 2, 1960, in Texarkana. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Allen was a telephone operator for several years and a homemaker. She was affiliated with the Methodist faith.
Survivors include: two grandchildren, Wade Keller and Carrie Hechler; five great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great-great grandson, Shaun Huffines.
Arrangements are with West Oaks Funeral Home."
