Arlene I was thinking of you on your birthday yesterday, June 5th. What fun we used to have at ISU! Janice is with you in Heaven now too, so there are only 2 of us Music Maidens left. I am glad you had such a wonderful life, you have so many people who loved you. I will never forget you, you will always be a part of my memories because even though the time we were together was so short, it was wonderful. Wish we had kept in touch through all the years. Glad I found this site, thanks Gary! I can see you smile! Remember Elton John concerts!!!!

Oh Arlene. You were one of the Music Maidens -- the four girls who ran the record library at our college station, WGLT. (Another of the four, Joan, I married.) You and I became lifelong friends during that period and I will always remember you with enormous warmth and affection. You were a TRUE friend -- the best kind -- an eternally young young lady in my mind I'll forever cherish.

I never got to meet you, but I know Sam. He was my husband's 2nd cousin. I just saw him at our family reunion last Saturday. I lost my husband of 50 years, last June, so we had a lot to talk about. Rest in peace!
