Dan Emonds, of Rocky Hill, loveable son, brother and uncle passed away Tuesday, (December 15, 2009) at his home in North Carolina, surrounded by his good friend, Terry Trahan and her daughter Alex, whom he loved dearly. Dan is survived by his father, Richard Emonds and step-mother Linda of Rocky Hill, his brothers, Richard Emonds and his wife, Laurie of West Hartford, and Michael Emonds and his wife, Kerry of South Glastonbury. In addition to his step-sisters, Christine Canfield and her husband, Michael of Rocky Hill, Lori DiBella and her husband Steven of Wethersfield, Dan was blessed with many nieces and nephews, Nicole, Darci, Carly, Colleen, Erin, Michaila, Michael and Conor Emonds whom he referred to as the "Emonds Clan", as well as Patrick and Megan O'Leary, Jessie Canfield, and Christopher and Nicholas DiBella. Dan is predeceased by his mother, Marcia Wilenski Emonds. Danny will also be missed by the Emonds' dog Derek Jeter. Dan was blessed with many, many friends during his life and his family would like to acknowledge and thank Terry Trahan, Peggy Sullivan and Debbie Martin all of whom played an important role in his life. Dan was a graduate of Rocky Hill High School and loved life as much as he loved performing "Mac the Knife". Other enjoyments in his life were to make late night full course meals. Danny will always be remembered as a man who loved his family as much as they loved him. Dan was made up of many things and we were all truly blessed to have him in our lives, hearts and minds, forever and always. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 9 a.m. from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave, Hartford. Burial will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield. Friends and relatives may call on the family, Friday, December 18, from 4-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Friends are asked to consider memorial donations in Dan's name be made to the American Diabetes Association Connecticut, 306 Industrial Park Rd, Middletown, CT. 06457.
