Dad - Thinking of you as always. So many things I wish we could talk about, and how I wish you could have met your great grandchildren. Just know that we are keeping your memory alive and that we love and miss you very much.

Memorial Day...what a sight to see an American Flag at every headstone at Biloxi National Cemetary. I honor you and every Veteran who lays at rest. You have fought for our freedoms and let us not forgot that today is not about BBQ's and picnics, but about honoring those who have paid the ultimate price, so we can have the freedom to picnic and BBQ! Thank you Daddy, and to all other military men and women who gave their all. Love Always.

In Honor of You and all other Veterans on this day. I looked at my phone at work and it was 11:11am on 11/11/09. Then I read about the history of Veterans Day and how it started in the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month with a truce during WW1. You missed that one, but proudly served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. I am PROUD to be an ARMY BRAT! Thanks Dad. I love and miss you very much. Thanks to all servicemen and women, serving here and abroad...may you all be safe and proud as you serve your country. For those that have passed, like you Dad, may you find eternal PEACE. I hope you're hanging out with your old Army buddies, waiting to greet each of us when it's our turn to cross over.

Thinking of you, with much love as always, on this Memorial Day 2009. Your grandson Patrick will be 18 in a few days, which means that you've been at peace for 18 years now. I miss you more than ever! We have a lot of catching up to do when I get to the other side. I appreciate you more each day - especially during these times of turmoil (you'd be ashamed of what has happened to your country - but the good soldiers carry on with you as their example). Thanks Daddy for being you!

Daddy, It's your favorite time of year, and this year I've felt your spirit around us more than ever. Scotty and I are so happy - this has been the best Christmas I've had since you passed over 13 years ago. It is a blessing to me to see the notes left for you by people who didn't know you, but can tell what type of man you were -a real man (like most men of your generation)who spent his life defending our country - so we can continue to live in freedom - one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. That's worth fighting for every time. I proudly share your love of country with your grandsons. We honor you every day and miss you more than ever - I love you forever and always
