Lucy R. Allen, 106, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at her daughter's home in Bluffton.
Born to George and Olive (Allen) Pritchard on March 15, 1902 in Covington, she married Noah Allen on Dec. 17, 1922, in Kates. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1991.
She was a homemaker all her life. She lived in Covington most of her life before moving to Bluffton to stay with her daughter in 1993. She attended Bluffton Church of God.
Surviving relatives include one son, Rendell Allen of Lake, Mich.; two daughters, Beverly J. Tuttle of Bluffton and Leah Rae Bowen of Valdosta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Pritchard; two sisters, Elizabeth Pritchard and Grace Pritchard; and one grandson, Duane Crowder.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington. Pastor Don Marlowe of the Bluffton Church of God will officiate.
Preferred memorials are to the Bluffton Church of God.
