OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

LAFONTAINE--John Alexander, 86, 604 Rennaker St., died at 6:28 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, at Rolling Meadows Health Care Center.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1917, in Kentucky, to Cornelius and Anna (Farley) Alexander.

Formerly of Indianapolis, he was a retired self-employed car salesman and real estate broker. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are four grandchildren, Mrs. David (Melissa) Fritz, Weatherford, Texas, Mrs. Daniel (Cynthia) Doenges, Fort Wayne, Mrs. Alan (Michele) Zintsmaster, Roann, and Richard L. Alexander II, Kokomo; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister; and one brother. One son, Richard L. Alexander, is deceased.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Falls Cemetery. There is no visitation. Preferred memorials are to the Rolling Meadows Health Care Center activity fund. The McDonald Funeral Home Eddingfield Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
