ALDERDICE, GLEN EDWARD, 76, transitioned this life on Thursday, September 13, 2007. He was born August 28, 1931 in Graves County, KY to his parents Byron and Jewell Alderdice. Mr. Alderdice received a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He served in the U.S. military and was a registered professional engineer. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church. In addition to Kentucky, he practiced his engineering profession in Ohio, Illinois and West Virginia. He retired from Mago Construction Company in Bardstown in 1999. During his retirement he served as an engineering consultant and conducted seminars for the Kentucky Transportation Center at University of Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela; sister, Larue Wilkins; and brother, Joe Franklin Alderdice. He is survived by his wife, the former Phyllis Craig; daughter, Patricia Senseman (Mark) of Cincinnati, OH; son, Russell Alderdice (Bonnie) of Nashville, IN; four grandchildren, Blake and Paige Senseman, Abigail and Eden Alderdice. He is also survived by his brother Ronald Alderdice (Eva) of Mayfield, KY; four nieces and two nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Highlands Family- Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mt. Olivet, KY. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Highlands.
