To a remarkable and tragic lady: Gifted daughter of a Vice President and wife of the Governor of South Carolina, and mother of a promissing son. He died at 10, she was lost at sea (breaking her father's heart). Rest in peace.

What a beautiful lady you were. I am sorry that your little son died so young.I have traveled to your homes in South Carolina, and went to Georgetown, the last place you were seen. I wish that you could have made it to New York to see your father. I think about you all the time. Bless your heart.

So much enjoyed your story in Anya Seton's "My Theodosia." I know it is fiction and not to be taken as history, but the lovely woman portrayed in it surely captures some truth.

What a pretty young lady! I'm so sorry for the depression you suffered on the death of your son. Your husband mourned your loss for he loved you so much as well as your father. Whatever happened to you, only Jehovah knows. But be rest assurred that Jehovah has you in mind for the resurrection. But for now, Rest In Peace.
