Angus W. Falloon of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at the age of 86 years and 26 days.
Mr. Falloon was born at Bourbon, Missouri on January 24, 1915 to the late William and Anna Asplin Falloon. He was a life-long resident of the Bourbon and Sullivan areas where he was actively involved in raising cattle.
On April 15, 1938 he was married to Gertrude Gallinger and to this marriage one son was born. Mr. Falloon honorably served his country during W.W.II with the U.S. Army. He saw action in Northern France, Rhineland and Normandy and was awarded three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart for wounds received in France on August 3, 1944. As a result of ill health, Mr. Falloon left his farm to make his home the past year at the Missouri Veterans Home at St. James.
He is survived by one son, Gary Falloon and wife Donna of Manvel, Texas, four grandchildren, Allan Falloon, Shelly Dierking, Chris Strauser and Stephanie Falloon, three brothers, Cobern Falloon of Sullivan, Gene and Lilbern Falloon both of Sacramento, California, other relatives and friends. Along with his wife Gertrude, Mr. Falloon was preceded in death by five brothers, Garnet, Maybern, Melbern, Woodrow, and Warren Falloon and by three sisters, Opal Bouse, Pearl Kerns and Jewel Swanson.
Private family funeral services were conducted on Friday, February 23, 2001 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with interment in New Rock Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.
