Oliver Perry Morton, son of Oliver and
Abbeville, Morton was born in Linn County
Kansas, on July 25, 1874 and departed this
life at his home in Frankfort, Kansas on
July 1, 1957 at the age of 82 years 11 months,
and 6 days.

At the age of 15 years, he moved to Kansas
City where he resided until 1901, he came to
Marshall County and was united in marriage
to Jennie Buckley that year and spent their
entire married life in almost the same
community.

To this union was born one son, George
Morton, Bigelow, Kansas and three
daughters, Mary Jones, Iowa Park, Texas,
Maude Alice, her twin who died in infancy
and Abbevilla, Williams, Bigelow, Kansas.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife,
Jennie of the home; his son and two daughters
one brother, Nash Morton, San Diego, Calif.
five grandsons, one granddaughter, many
nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

During the earlier part of his life, Perry was
engaged in dray and transfer work in Kansas
City and after coming to Marshall County
he was active in farming and livestock until
about two years ago when he retired to the
present home in Frankfort.

Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery,
southwest of Frankfort, Kansas.
