Rachel Virginia Gill Anderson passed away peacefully on Oct. 16, 2012, at Golden Oaks Canyon Assisted Living.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1922, in Johns, Miss., to Fred and Bessie Gill. She attended school in Jackson, Miss. After graduation, she moved to Baton Rouge where she attended night classes at LSU and worked at a military facility.
