Della was married to George Louis Verley Aug. 22, 1903. They lived their lives in the Chester area. To this union were born three sons, Oscar, Charles, George, and three daughters, Mary, Bessie and Edith. George passed away Oct. 18, 1918. Della then married Ernest Kaenel June 6, 1931. He also preceded her in death Febr. 4, 1946.
Della was a member of the Church of Christ in Chester for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, George Lewis Verley, and Ernest Kaenel, and two sons, Charles and George.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. LeRoy (Mary) Young of Hubbell, Mrs. Arthur (Bessie) Jones of Fairbury, Mrs. Leonard (Edith) Icenogle of Burbank, Cal.; a son, Oscar Verley of Redlands, Cal.; two brothers, Roy Canfield of Chester and Merle Canfield of Thermopolis, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs.(Lottie)Harry Hunt and Mrs.(Ardis)Claude Canning, both of Belleville, Kans., 62 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild, and numerous friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Chester Oct. 9, 1971, with Bro. Jim Blake, officiating. Music was by Mrs. Wilbert Crouse and Mrs. Ray Truss.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Dake, Adrian Dake, Harold Crouse, Vincent Henstorf, Dolan Frye and Dale Bauer.
Interment was made in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kans., Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Service in charge of arrangements
