Pauline Frances (Hill) Archer, 99, of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday evening at Garden Villa of Bloomington. She was born on Aug. 9, 1913, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Stella (Wellman) Hill. She retired from RCA of Bloomington after 32 years of service and previously worked for J.C. Penney. She was a longtime member of Fairview United Methodist Church, United Ministries, F.U.M.C. Joy Circle, Church Women United, the S.E.C. Homemaker Extension Club, the Borrowed Time Club and Area 10 Agency's R.S.V.P. Following her retirement, she volunteered at the former Bloomington Convalescent Center and at the Opportunity House.

She is survived by one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Zella M. and Jim Davis of Bloomington; two granddaughters, Theresa Davis and Melody Davis; two grandsons, Ray Edward Spears and James E. Davis, all of Bloomington; four great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Joe" Archer, in 1982, two sisters, Lula M. Elliott and Trula King, and one great-granddaughter, Stacy Jean Spears.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old St. Rd. 37 in Bloomington. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
