ILLIOPOLIS - Linda Kay Etter, 65, of Illiopolis, IL passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Sunday (March 18, 2007) in St. Vincent Hospital, Taylorville, IL.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday (March 23, 2007) in Illiopolis United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to services. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Mrs. Etter was born on December 17, 1941 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Gilbert L. & Ruth E. Coleman Hamm. She worked at Pop's Cafe, Mt. Auburn, IL, Illio Cafe, Illiopolis, IL, Banquet Manager and Assistant Food and Beverage Director at Holiday Inn Select Raynor Motel Corp., Decatur, IL retiring in 1998. She was a life long member of Illiopolis United Methodist Church and a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Illiopolis Chapter. She married Robert Earl Etter on December 17, 1962. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1983.
Surviving is her son: Joseph Robert Etter and his wife Tonia of Illiopolis, IL; six grandchildren: Jaimie, Jessica, Joshua, Shelby, Jakob and Riley Etter; one great granddaughter: Alexis Cockrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant daughter, sister: Beverly Ann Moore and brother: Lawrence Richard Hamm.
