Mrs. Rosa Lee Meriweather, 96, of 853 Mercer Ave., passed away Jan. 27, at Akron General Medical Center, after a short illness.
Born in Waynesboro, Ga., she had lived in this community 62 years.
She is survived by daughter, Anna (Robert) Stredrick; sons, Randolph Meriweather, Reynolds Meriweather, Charles Meriweather, and Robert Meriweather, all of Akron; grandchildren, Randolph Cross of Akron, Frank Stredrick of New York, and Atty. Lavonne Meriweather of Akron, and Mildred Skipper of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; 11 great-grandchildren; nine great-great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 10 a.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Joseph Nevels officiating. Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. (Stewart & Calhoun, 535-1543.)
