NORWALK - Catherine P. Lawrie, 91, of Norwalk, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 in the Bellevue Hospital, Bellevue, Ohio. She was born December 20, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Ernest A. and Katherine (Griswold) Pulford and came to this area in 1950 from Cleveland.
She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Norwalk, Ohio where she had been on the vestry. She was also a member of Golden Rule Rebekah Lodge # 317 in Norwalk, Ohio. She was a former secretary for Architects Thurmon Peabody and Charles Effinger.
She is survived by her son, Richard E. Lawrie of Bellevue, Ohio and by her daughters and sons in law, Linda C. and John Graham of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, Marilynn and Robert Tener of Westerville, Ohio and Kathleen and David Buske of Acworth, Georgia and by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother and sister in law, Ernest A. and Martha Pulford of Pensacola, Florida and by her sister, Jean Pulford of East Cleveland, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lawrie in 1994 and by her sister, Margaret Lye.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. in St. Paul Episcopal Church, 87 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Margaret D'Aneri will officiate. Inurment will be in the St. Paul Episcopal Church Columbarium. There will be no calling hours.
