MARION-Sept. 26-(Special) Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday from the First Methodist Church for Mrs. Mary Evelen (Mamie) Timmons, 83, who died Tuesday night in a Columbia hospital. The service will be conducted by the Rev. T. M. Godbold, assisted by the Rev. James E. Merchants of Myrtle Beach. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence.
Mrs. Timmons, born in Manchester, Va. lived in Marion for many years with her sister, Mrs. J. R. Hubbard on North Main Street.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. J. R. Hubbard, now of Myrtle Beach and a number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Frank Hughes of Myrtle Beach, W.L. and Bernard Hubbard of Marion and Irvin Hubbard of Raeford N.C..
