Sally Jo Beyer Platz

Sally Jo Beyer Platz, 63, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, in a Chattanooga health care facility. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Chester and Madeline Siebert Beyer.

Her memory will live on through her loving family; husband, Rick Platz of Cleveland; son, Michael Platz and wife, Caroline, of Nashville; two grandchildren: Dolly and Will Platz of Nashville; sister, Suzanne "Suzie" Dennison of Ocala, Fla.; brother, Richard Beyer and wife, Carolyn, of Tuscumbia, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Her family extends appreciation to the staff and volunteers of Hospice of Chattanooga, who gave Sally such loving care during her illness.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Broad Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Debbie Stokes officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.

Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
