Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 19 at the Williamsfield Methodist Church. Pastor Jennifer Seder will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Williamsfield Methodist Church or the Friends of the Doubet -Benjamin Park. Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield is in charge of arrangements.
She was born September 8, 1933 in Williamsfield, the daughter of Harold and Esther Marie (Snare) Mahar. She married Arlis E. Brown on February 26, 1953 in Williamsfield. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and a half-sister, Shirley Cook. She is survived by two sons, Marty (Chris) Brown and David (Sally) Brown, both of Williamsfield, two daughters, Tamra (Gary) Smith of Williamsfield and Gretchen Brown of Dunlap, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Cheryl graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1951. In her early years, she had worked as a switchboard operator for the local telephone company and had also worked as a receptionist and office clerk at the office of Dr. Bronney. She was a member of the Williamsfield Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
