Bobby Joe Huff Sr., 72, of Carrollton, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at his home with his loved ones by his side after a short battle with cancer.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to

2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to H.E.L.P. Services in Carrollton. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born Aug. 14, 1940, in Saline County, he will be sadly missed by his loving companion of 20 years, Judy Acton, and her children, Jim Acton and Tammy Ellis; his sons, Charles Ray Huff and his wife, Lori, of Milo and Bobby Joe Huff Jr. and his companion, Brenda, of Slater; his daughter, Mary Boone and her husband, Pat, of Richfield, N.C.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four stepgrandsons; one step granddaughter; five sisters, Maxine Combs, Joyce Sitzes and her husband, David, and Janice Arth, all of Marshall, Mary Ruth Riley of Springfield and Kathy Derboven of Higbee; three brothers, Charlie Huff and his wife, Peggy, of Higbee, Donald Huff and his wife, Shirley, and James Leroy Huff of Marshall; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence James Huff and Gertrude Ford Huff; two daughters, Michelle Jones and Carrie Jo; and one brother, Bill Huff.
