Pictures on my wall.Pictures hang on my wall,Some are faded and worn,A few are brand new.Different frames show what's old and new,But what a frame and photo wont tell you.Is that each photo holds a memory,Be they good or bad,Each picture takes me back to important and special times that I have had,How strange to see faces now gone,Also those youngsters who were not born a year before,In some photos you can see true happiness without refrain,In others a broken heart lies behind a fake smile put on to mask the pain,Each photo a frozen moment in time,A keepsake that if treated well will last lifetimes,So wonderful the photos that hang on my wall,Showing my life and all those who touched it during that time,They bring me a smile and sometimes a tear,Yet I always want them with me,Those photos so dear. They say you where not human,So the pain should not be so bad, Its only an animal and all of that, But instead of anger and tears vented in rage, Just turn, smile and say:An animal is more than you will ever know,Someone to turn to in times of woe,Someone who is there for you 24 hours a day,Someone who cares for you without delay. When you look into their eyes. You feel a warm kind of peace,For their love is there to help you through.Whenever you need it to.So Cant you see that,They pass away just like us,Illness, accident and natural causesCan take them away. They Bleed and feel pain,They show love and compassion each and every day.So they are Human in their rightfull way.Animals have much more sence then us this is proved,With their caring, trusting, never hurtfull ways.So I laugh at you with your small minded views,For I can smile and say.If you dont know the powerfull love of an animal today. Then thats your life half wasted, half loved and half cared for.And when I think of that even with the pain I feelI would never trade my life with yoursAs you have no idea of the love you get from people with paws.God Bless our Fur Family one and all.COPYRIGHT: Written By Ryan K Selwyn in 2010.

May you be blessed knowing you have given your angel happiness and love. I hope one of these lovely poems gives you comfort... Take care from the Selwyn Family xx I felt an angel. I felt an angel near today, though one I could not see, I felt an angel oh so close, sent to comfort me, I felt an angel's kiss, soft upon my cheek, And oh, without a single word of caring did it speak. I felt an angel's loving touch, soft upon my heart, And with that touch, I felt the pain and hurt within depart. I felt an angel's tepid tears, fall softly next to mine. And knew that as those tears did dry a new day would be mine. I felt an angel's silken wings enfold me with pure love, And felt a strength within me grow, a strength sent from above. I felt an angel oh so close, though one I could not seeI felt an angel near today, sent to comfort me.Anonymous If only. If only we could see the splendour of the land, To which our loved ones are called from you and me, We'd understand,If only we could hear the welcome they receive. From old familiar voices all so dear. We would not grieve. If only we could know the reason why they went. We'd smile and wipe away the tears that flow, And wait content.Anonymous I If I should never see the moon again. If I should never see the moon again, Rising red gold across the harvest field, Or feel the stinging soft rain, As the brown earth her treasures yield. If I should never taste the salt sea spray. As the ship beats her course across the breeze.Or smell the dog-rose and new-mown hay,or moss or primroses beneath the tree.If I should never hear the thrushes wake, Long before the sunrise in the glimmering dawn.Or watch the huge Atlantic rollers break Against the rugged cliffs in baffling scorn. If I have to say good bye to stream and wood,To wide ocean and the green clad hill,I know that he, who made this world so good, Has somewhere made a heaven better still. This bears witness with my latest breath, Knowing the love of God,I fear no death.Major Malcolm Boyd, killed in action in France, June 1944. If roses grow in heaven. If roses grow in heaven,Lord pleae pick a bunch for me,Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me.Tell her I love her and miss her,and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.Because remembering her is easy,I do it every day,but there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.Anonymous. He is not lost our dearest love, He is not lost our dearest love,Nor has he travelled far,Just stepped inside home's loveliest room. And left the door ajar.Anonymous. Peace My heart:Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet.Let it not be a death but completeness.Let love melt into memory and pain into songs. Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the wings over the nest.Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night.Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence.I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light your way.Rabindranath Tagore, Bengali poet and philosopher (1861 - 1941)Silent tearEach night we shed a silent tear, As we speak to you in prayer. To let you know we love you, And just how much we care.Take our million teardrops, Wrap them up in love,Then ask the wind to carry them, To you in heaven above.Unknown

The door flew open! A lady smiled at me "please come in," She said it with such joy,It amazed me!Where am I? I wondered. Just an hour ago I had fallen to my floor, Weak from life's tiresome storm, Oh well I thought, Yet when I walked into this so called room I found it to be huge,Stretching far and wide filled with many lives,A glittering dance floor packed with smiling couples dancing and swaying,Ladies laughing,Gentlemen smiling,Over to the right a huge crowd of animals where playing,Snuggling, Talking.I realised I was no longer frail and shaking! No it can't be I looked in the mirror and there was the young me,Suddenly I saw a spotlight form,It fell on a crowd of those I had known and loved long ago,Suddenly a feeling washed over me, I am home. I ran and met all the family of my past,Friends surrounded me,My dearest all around me,Each of us singing songs and praising freedom,United as one happy family in this kingdom,Only happiness in this never ending party,The feeling of warmth clings to me like ivy, How wonderful to be in heavens grand wonderland,So far from fates hard plans. By Ryan K Selwyn. A Reflection on an Autumn DayI took up a handful of grain and let it slip flowing through my fingers, and I said to myself: This is what it is all about. There is no longer any room for pretence. At harvest time the essence is revealed - the straw and chaff are set aside, they have done their job. The grain alone matters - sacks of pure gold. So it is when a person dies the essence of that person is revealed. At the moment of death a person's character stands out happy for the person who has forged it well over the years. Then it will not be the great achievement that will matter, nor, how much money or possessions a person has amassed. These like the straw and the chaff, will be left behind. It is what he has made of himself that will matter. Death can take away from us what we have, but it cannot rob us of who we are.God's GardenGod looked around His garden And He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful; He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our heart to lose you, But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you The day God called you home.

I Am Always With You I am always with you When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown, But now it is time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust That it is only for a while that we must part, So treasure the memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on. And if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you soft and clear And then, when you come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".
