Service for Courtney W. Doon, 73, of Smithland was Saturday Nov. 3,2007 at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev Willie Guess an Andrew Sexton officiating.
He died at his home of CHF.
He was a avid coon hunter, he retired from Union Carbide in Calvert City after 20 years of service and was a Member of Smithland First Baptist Church.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda Doom; three daughters, Debra (Joe) Thomason of Smithland, Sandra (Danny) Sewell of Calvert City, and Pam(Mitchell) Thompson of Gilbertsvill
one son, Tim (Michelle) Doom of Benton; five brothers Louie Doom, Teddy Doom, and Hugh Doyle Doom all of Grand Rivers, and Holland and Willis Doom both of Smithland 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded by one sister Charles Marie, and one brother Loye Doom His parents were Norvin Doom and Edria Mae Doom.
