Olive Bohen, 94, of Miller, died Sunday, April 7, 1991, at the Hand County Memorial Hospital in Miller.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the First United Methodist Church of Miller, with the Rev. Richard Rinearson officiating. Burial will be in GAR Cemetery.
Olive Bohen was born April 27, 1896, at Shannon, Ill., to Mr. and Mrs. Eli (Hattie Montag) Bohen. She moved to Canton, S.D. in 1903 and in 1918 she moved to Miller. She attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell. She taught in rural schools and Miller Public School for 52 years before retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the Frist United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the S.D. Teachers Association.
Survivors include four nephews, Rodney K. Haas, Fremont, Calif., Oliver F. Haas, Miller, James E. Barrett, Fort Collins, Colo., Patrick L. Conner, Bend, Ore.; one niece, Mrs. Daniel (Harriett) Lawler, Ree Heights; seven grand-nieces and one grand-nephew,
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles Bohen; three sisters, Gladys Haas, Faye Barrett and Virginia Conner.
Pallbearers will be LeRoy Osvog, Gerald Palmer, Ben Scherr, Dan Lawler, Bud Puffer and Steven Lawler.
