Charles Russell Cannon, age 62, of Converse, SC, died Sunday, February 18, 1990, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of Spartanburg, SC, son of the late Walter Judson Cannon (1893–1928) and Lou Annie Carter Edwards (1895–1971); husband of Evelyn Ingram Cannon (1933–2005).

A retired paint contractor and member of Manna Baptist Church, Glendale, SC.

Other survivors include his sons, Lewis Edwin Cannon (1950–2021) and Rev. Danny Cannon; daughter, Patty Cannon Scates; brother, James Lester Cannon (1919–1998); sister, Ruth Sherek; and seven grandchildren.

Also predeceased by a brother, Paul Frederick Cannon (1921–1986).

Visitation was held from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Monday, February 19, 1990, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Services were held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, February 20, 1990, at Manna Baptist Church by Rev. Herbert Adams and Rev. Frankie Taylor; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
