William Winchell,84 of 7 Martin Street Port Dickinson died at 10:10 pm Thursday May 20, 1948 at Binghamton City Hospital from injuries sustained from being hit by a vehicle upon stepping off a curb. He is survived by one son Ernest E Winchell of East Syracuse, two daughters Mrs Laura Harrison of Cortland and Mrs. Lottie Carr of McGraw, several grandchildren. The body was removed to the Hopler & Georgia Funeral Home 483 Chenango Street. Funeral arrangements will be made later. William was buried on May 24, 1948. His occupation on his death certificate was farmer.
