Noal Janie Black CHARLOTTE - Noal Janie Black went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She was 78 years old. Noal was born on November 17, 1933 in Charlotte, NC to John and Ola Mae Black, both deceased. She was raised and lived in Charlotte, North Carolina all of her life. Her heart of gold and compassionate nature will surely be missed. She loved children, reading, keeping up with current events and word search. Her favorite movie was "The Sound of Music", which she watched at least once a year. She received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior many years ago. For over 25 years, she was a member of Victory Christian Center, where she humbly served discreetly in the area of Missions. Mrs. Black was employed by Hawthorne Nursing Center in Charlotte, North Carolina for almost 35 years. Cherishing her memories are two sisters: Elsie Martin (Cecil) and Gloria Durant (Spencer), four children: Larry Black (Leoa), Ronald Black (Ofelia), Phyllis Finch (James) and Jerry Black (deceased); 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. A committal service will be held in her honor at 12 Noon on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens (1504 West Sugar Creek Road) and a Homegoing Celebration Service will be held at Victory Christian Center located at 7228 Kings Ridge Drive, at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the VCC Preschool or the VCC Missions Department in memory of Mrs. Black. These were ministries that she cared very much about. The street address is Victory Christian Center, 7228 Kings Ridge Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina 28217. Alexander is serving the Black family.
