Mr. Bailey had retired from a job at Ford Motor Co. in Norfolk after 30 years. He was a member of Indian River Lodge 252 and United Auto Workers local 919.
Survivors include his wife, Eva W. Bailey; his mother, Lillie Lykins Bailey of Jenkins, Ky.; two daughters, Patricia Lode and Melissa Bailey, both of Virginia Beach; a son, Harold T. Bailey Jr. of Chesapeake; three sisters, Nola Kujawski of Virginia Beach, Christine Dodrill of Vienna and Ann Taylor Bangor, Maine; three brothers, George Bailey and Gary Bailey, both of Chesapeake, and Donald Bailey of Jenkins, Ky.; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. David E. Rulapaugh. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Woodlawn Memorial gardens.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at 2519 Pringle Drive, Chesapeake.
