He died while visiting relatives in Toronto.
He was the son of Thomas Barkley and the late Bertha Crowder.
He was a cabinet maker, and for many years worked for M.F. Beach Company in Winchester.
He was survived by his father Thomas of Whitestone Ontario; his wife Margaret; one daughter, Mrs. Leslie Smith of Cass Bridge; two sisters Mrs. Peter Oliver [sic] and Mrs. Frank Marlo [sic] of Toronto; and four brothers, Harvey of Toronto, Frank, Lorne and Howard Barkley all of Whitestone Ontario.
NOTE: There appears to be some errors in the spelling of the names of his sisters, as other records indicate his sister Millie was married to Frank Molaro [not Marlo], and his sister Gertie married Peter Olivo [not Oliver].
