Edmund H. Bartelt, 74, of Streator, died at 3:45 p.m. yesterday (November 21, 1988) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator, after a brief illness.
His funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, Streator, the Rev. Edward Bawiec officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wenona.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
He was born September 2, 1914 in Chicago, a son of Hugo Carl and Winifred C. (Cullen) Bartelt.
He married Agnes Orsen on March 29, 1949. She survives.
Also surviving are
three sons:
Edmund,
Michael,
and Douglas, all of Streator;
two daughters:
Barbara Jean Sauers
and Teresa Ann "Tracy" Bartelt, both of Streator;
and two granddaughters.
Mr. Bartelt lived in Wenona before moving to Streator 22 years ago. A retired truck driver, he was a former member of the Teamsters Union.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Streator.
