Gloria Ann Becker passed away early Wednesday morning at her home in Batesville, Indiana at the age of 79. The daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Sullender) Skidmore was born on January 20, 1933 near Aurora, IN. The Aurora High School graduate married Donald Becker on September 20, 1952 in Aurora, IN. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2007.

Gloria was a Licensed Practical Nurse graduating from the Good Samaritan Hospital Program. For several years, she worked in the Batesville Community High School office, but her true profession was working as a nurse for Margaret Mary Community Hospital, where she eventually retired from. She was very dedicated to her job and to her many patients she cared for over the years. Gloria truly enjoyed helping those in need. She was also a long time member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Huntersville. She was a good and loving mother, who will be greatly missed by her five children.

Gloria is survived by her two sons, Jay (Shirley) Becker of Batesville and Dan (Angie) Becker of Westfield, IN; three daughters, Cindy (Richard) Feller of Batesville, Diana Holderman of Dayton, OH and Virginia Becker of Batesville; two sisters, Faye Ross and Charlotte Horn with one brother, Bernard Skidmore all of Lawrenceburg, IN; along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, David and her young sister, Virginia.

Visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2012 from 4-7pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral services are on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 10am in St. John's United Church of Christ, Huntersville. Reverend David Johnston officiating with burial to follow in the St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. John's United Church of Christ, Huntersville or Margaret Mary Hospice c/o the funeral home.
