Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Hazel Vivian Hange of Akron, Ohio and John L Repp, Grace was adopted by Howard Leroy Nash when her mother remarried in 1921. Grace met and married Aloysius Joseph Kelley while living in Jacksonville, Florida in 1940. Their son Paul Nash Kelley was born in 1941 in Charlotte, North Carolina where her parents were living and her adopted father registered for the WWII draft. Grace, Aloysius, their young son Paul, and parents Howard & Hazel Nash all buried together in Oak Hill Cemetery.
