Mother: L. Sams
Wife: L. Wood
Leo Sams Porter, 37, mail carrier on the Janet route out of Douglas, died in his car Sunday night on his way home after a Sunday visit. Mr. Porter lived northeast of Douglas, and had almost reached home, when Mrs. Porter, sitting next to him, noticed the car was not keeping the road. She reached over to take the wheel just as Mr. Porter slumped over, apparently having died instantly. Mr. Porter was married in O'Neil, Nebraska in 1921, and came to Wyoming where he has resided since. Left to mourn his loss, besides his wife, are four children, his mother who lives in Los Angeles, two brothers and one sister. (Information was obtained from his obituary in the Douglas Enterprise July 25, 1933; mortuary and cemetery records.)
