Margaret Marie (Elliott) Broome was born on 19 Nov., 1921 in Philadelphia, PA to Thomas Gilbert Elliott and Anna Marie (Drury) Elliott. She was the second child of nine born to her parents. She grew up in Philadelphia and married Stewart Edward Broome in Media, PA on 26 Oct., 1942. Stewart was in the Navy during WWII and they lived several places. She had three children, Carol Ann Cotten, Stewart Edward Broome, Jr and Thomas William Broome. They retired in Glennville, GA area and after Stewart's passing she moved back to Savannah. She passed at her son Stewart's home on 15 June 2009. She has a burial plot with her husband Stewart. (On a personal note, she made the best pound cake and mashed potatoes I have ever had in my life)
