Bessie Webster Buschemeyer, 78, of Route 3 died Friday, March 12, 1993, in Vermilion County Hospital at Clinton. She retired as a nurse's aide from the hospital. She was born Oct. 21, 1914, at Watson, Ill., to Nelson Cornwell and Leona Harris Cornwell. Her first husband, William Webster, died in 1965, and her second husband, George Buschemeyer, died in 1978.

Survivors include seven daughters, Gladys Anderson of Rosedale, Susanna Rennick of Lafayette, Stella Shideler of Washington, Sally Ramsey of Tampa, Fla., Carolyn Kerr of Beloit, Wis., Hester Fielitz of Wood Dale, Ill. and Wilma Lawson of Judson; two sons, Ronald Webster of Rosedale and Walter Webster of Winchester; one brother, Virgil Cornwell of Moneta, Va.; two sisters, Louise Marrs of Kansas, Ill., and Elizabeth Striker; 31 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. Bernice Rebekah Lodge and formerly attended St. Bernice Baptist Church.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday in Frist Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rick Holland officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charles Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Melvin Anderson, Michael Shideler, Benjamin Rennick and Donald Rennick. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.
