Rev. Datus Ensign, Jr. was the son of Datus and Abigail (Woolworth) Ensign, Sr. He was the husband of Mary (Winegar) Ensign. They were married April 28, 1808. Mary died March 5, 1853. Rev. Ensign was a minister in the Troy Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
