Marjorie (Crum) Bores, 84, of Southington, beloved wife of 55 years of John E. Bores, died peacefully with her family by her side, at Brittany Farms Health Center, New Britain, on Friday, (April 1, 2005). She was born in New Britain on February 4, 1921, the daughter of the late Bayard M. Crum and Helen (Jones) Crum. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, John R. Bores and his wife, Lynn of Plainville, Stephen M. Bores and his wife, Kathy of Lincoln, MA.; Richard J. Bores and his wife, Lynn of Allentown, NJ, and Robert B. Bores and his wife, Robin of Southington; seven grandchildren; a sister, H. Elizabeth Hodge of Wilton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert M. Crum. Marge was a graduate of New Britain High School, class of 1939, she was a former board member of the Women's Auxiliary at New Britain General Hospital. She enjoyed her volunteer work of 33 years at the hospital, and was named Volunteer of the Year in 1994. She was also a Corporator of NBGH. Until her marriage to her husband John, she was employed as a secretary to the VP of Sales in the Processed Metal Division of the Stanley Works. Calling hours are Tuesday, April 5, at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain from 5 - 8 p.m. The funeral and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
