Arlen R. Jacoby was born March 15, 1949 in Windsor, Colo. to John and Mary Jacoby. He grew up in Windsor where he attended high school. Following high school, Arlen pursued his higher education at Colorado State University. He received his Bachelors degree in Forest Management in 1971.

Arlen worked as a supervisory appraiser for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service in Portland, Ore. He retired in 2007.

Arlen was a man of faith and a former member of the Faith United Church of Christ in Windsor, Colo.

Arlen passed away June 2, 2012 in Portland, Ore. He is survived by his loving wife, Judee; brother, Melvin Jacoby of Windsor, Colo.; children, John Mours, James Mours, and Jeanne de Wette; one granddaughter, Jessica Smith; and extended family and friends.
