SPRINGFIELD — A chapel service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton for Mildred "Millie" Carlstrom of Springfield, who died July 7 of congestive heart failure. She was 93.
She was born May 17, 1919, in Astoria to Nils and Annie Haglund Wallin. She married Kenneth Carlstrom on Aug. 24, 1946, in Astoria. He died May 12, 2007.
She worked for 14 years at the Astoria Apparel women's clothing store as a clerk, buyer and bookkeeper.
Survivors include a daughter, Luanne Lynn of Walterville; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to Knappa Schools Foundation in Astoria.
